Government should commit to pay settled status fee for EU civil servants

brexit-westminster-main-847
At the present time the Government position is that it will not pay the £65 settled status fee for EU citizens who are currently civil servants.

EU citizens have made an invaluable contribution to the work of public services in the UK, not least in the civil service. This deserves recognition, and we see no reason why the Government should not commit to pay this fee, as many other public and private sector employers have already done.

We are working with our colleagues in the other civil service unions to progress this with the Cabinet Office.

We will update members if this position changes in any way.
