FDA in Wales
The FDA is active across Wales, representing civil servants and senior professionals working for the devolved administration, Welsh Government sponsored bodies and UK government departments.
FDA Cymru|Wales provides a distinct voice for members in Wales
We represent civil servants and senior professionals from HEO to SCS working for the devolved administration and Welsh Government sponsored bodies as well as those working in UK government departments.
We know that our members in Wales face unique challenges at work and through FDA Cymru|Wales the union focusses on and campaigns on specific Welsh issues, supporting members through our dedicated office in Cardiff.
We are committed to the professional development of members in Wales through our FDA Learn programme, with webinars, courses and events specifically designed to help members progress in their careers. Funding we’ve obtained from the Wales Union Learning Fund is helping us to focus on the fair work agenda in Wales and, as part of that, we’re working to increase diversity of access to senior roles at Welsh Government and Welsh sponsored bodies.
