FDA in UK Parliament
FDA represents House staff in Bands B and above
The FDA is an independent, member-led union. We are politically neutral and spend all our resources on representing our members’ interests, giving them a strong, pragmatic voice in the workplace.
We provide workplace representation, legal assistance, career development and many other benefits to members working in the Houses of Parliament in roles such as clerks, researchers, and support staff. The FDA represents House staff in Bands B, A, and SCS.
We work collaboratively and in partnership to improve the professional and public standing of our members in Parliament.
The FDA campaigns tirelessly to create a safe working environment for our members on the Parliamentary estate – achieving significant victories in the introduction of risk-based exclusion and the creation of the Independent Complaints and Grievance Scheme. We also advocate for a full decant of the estate as the safest, quickest, and most cost-effective way to restore Parliament and make it safe for staff.
