FDA in Scotland

FDA has a strong presence in Scotland

The union represents civil servants and senior professionals working for the devolved administration, Scottish Government-sponsored bodies and UK-wide departments based here.

We provide workplace representation, legal assistance, a bespoke career development programme and many other benefits to members, working collaboratively and in partnership to improve the professional and public standing of our members.

Branches and sections are supported by the FDA’s dedicated National Officer for Scotland located at FDA’s office in Edinburgh.

We have also established a Scottish Strategy Group to bring together representatives from the devolved administration and UK civil service.

The main branches and sections are:

  • Care Inspectorate;
  • Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service;
  • Education Scotland;
  • Scottish Government;
  • Scottish Parliament.
