Meet the latest winner of the FDA and Keystone recruitment prize

Monday 3 March 2017

The FDA and Keystone recruitment prize draw gives reps and members the opportunity to win an iPad Mini (or equivalent in vouchers) simply by spreading the word of your union and encouraging your colleagues to join.

The prize draw winner for March is Karen Brookfield from Heritage Lottery Fund, who requested Amazon vouchers for her prize.

On receiving her reward, Karen said: "We have just celebrated the first anniversary of the National Heritage Memorial Fund/Heritage Lottery Fund branch with a leap in membership. I’ve been able to demonstrate directly to colleagues the very real difference FDA has made for members – a pay rise for staff at all grades; an extra day’s leave each year in the first five years instead of waiting five  years for five days; and extending eligibility for paid overtime to higher grades.

"Colleagues can see the power of having a voice through FDA, and at a time of change in the organisation, they also value knowing that FDA will be there to look after their interests and support them.

"Management has also agreed to pay for family membership of organisations like the National Trust, Historic Scotland and Cadw for our teams, so we can spend even more of our time indulging our passion for heritage!"

Draws for the recruitment prize are done quarterly and the next one will be early June - which means you have plenty of time to get your entries in. In order to be in with a chance of winning, all you have to do is follow these two steps:

1) Encourage a colleague to join the FDA or Keystone - they can do this quickly online at or, or they can fill out the paper forms which are available either from the local branch reps or directly from head office.

2) Email with the name of your colleague and stating whether they have joined FDA or Keystone.

Once confirmation is made that your colleague has joined, you will be entered into our prize draw. You can enter as many times as you like as each new recruit counts as an entry. More details can be found at this link, where you can also find tips on how to recruit.
