Penman accuses pro-Brexit MPs attacking civil servants of ‘paranoia’

The FDA's General Secretary has dismissed a Conservative MP's call to fire civil servants working to oppose the UK's exit from the EU as "paranoia".

Dave Penman told the Financial Times: "This is about… just dreaming up future betrayals by civil servants that haven't actually happened," and warned against "looking for people to blame" for a process that is still in its earliest stages.

Penman's response was also reported by the Express and Civil Service World.
