Communications Officer Rory Desch reports:
"Civil Service Live 2016 took the FDA and Keystone to Sheffield on 22 June and the sun was out to welcome all the delegates' attending. This was Civil Service Live's first visit to Sheffield and as a result, it was many delegates first experience of everything Civil Service Live and all it has to offer.
"Both Dave Penman (General Secretary) and Rob O'Neill (Assistant General Secretary) were on hand to talk to delegates, along with other members of the FDA and Keystone recruitment team.
"It's always a positive experience to attend events like this, as it offers an excellent opportunity to increase our exposure and inform attendees about all the great support, products and services we have on offer.
"Delegates showed particular interest in our learning and development initiative - FDA Learn and Keyskills - clearly identifying their want to enhance their own skills-sets and ensuring they are prepared for when promotion opportunities arise. Our scheduled follow-up learning event in Sheffield on Creating Competency Examples on Wednesday 24 August, certainly acted as an increased incentive for all the new members that signed up yesterday. "Our next stop for the Civil Service Live roadshow is Coventry, which will be held on Wednesday 29 June. You can find us on stands 38 and 40."
